March Maddness

My old High School, Jac-Cen-Del won the Indiana High School Boys State Championship in Basketball. This was exciting for the whole community. When the boys came home from the State game, the firetrucks met them about 30 miles away on the interstate and the parade began. Hundreds of painted cars with their horn blaring following 4 firetrucks and 3 school buses. Tony, Christopher, Rodney, Avery, Maggie and I stood on the sidewalk downtown to watch the parade. Angela, Doug and Hannah had painted their car and were in the parade.

Jim is 5 kid hanging out of bus, with beanie hat.

Tony and I did go to the State game at Concenso Field House. We took Christopher to the Semi State game and he had a fun time, But we did not take him to the State game. He would have loved it, he says "ball players, ball players".

Christopher is talking all the time. He and Tony are watching baseball on TV. When the commercial comes on, he get mad because the ball players are gone. We are excited to be able to take him to a baseball game this year.

We did not go to Florida this year for the Reds (last) Spring Training. We debated but decided with the economic situation it would make more sense to stay in Indiana. We were excited to let Christopher see the ocean this year, we may make a trip later this summer.

My kid is awake... so my day begins.
