My 1st Birthday

I can't believe Christopher is one year old. On one hand it seems likes he has been a part of us forever and I don't remember a time without him and on the other it just doesn't seem like its been a year. This year has went so fast - and he has changed so much. Christopher has a personality of his own and will let you know if he doesn't like something. He is the most wonderful gift God could have ever given us.

He had a great time at his first Birthday party - we had it at the YMCA - so all the kids could swim during the cold January weather. Christopher liked the pool but I think the water was a little cool for him - he kept shivering. His favorite part was all the kids - He loves watching and chasing the big kids. His birthday party was the weekend before his actually date of birth. So on his real birthday - Tony and I made cupcakes and we all had a little birthday party. Tony even gave Brito and Mason a cupcake since it was a party.

Christopher had his 1 year Dr appointment this week and the she said he weighs 25 lbs which is about average but that he is in the 120% in height - his line was about 1 inch above the chart. He also had to get his 1 year immunization shots this week. He only cried for a minute so it wasn't too bad. He has been sleeping in his own bed in his own room for a few months now - and he and I are both sleeping better. He usually sleeps all through the night.
Christopher loves our boxer Mason - he climbed up on top of him by himself. Mason loves the attention.
I guess we can say Christopher took his first unassisted steps on Jan 20 - he will walk around with toys or holding onto furniture. He will even let go and take one step in between things - he is getting braver and will be running very soon. He says "bye bye" and will wave and says "mama". He says more words while he is with Melissa our nanny - but those are the only words he has shared with me.
